1. Describe your assignment.
- Me and my partner did a project called web quest where we created a site for students to participate in an activity that we created through the site zunal.com. Our title was the beauty of a butterfly and its a site where students will learn the stages of a butterflies life cycle. We created an activity that lets them explore, hunt, and observe a caterpillar in real life till it changed in to a butterfly.
2. What did you like/dislike about the web quest project? and why?
- What i liked about the project was that you could create a lesson that a student can go online and participate it following the different links that you created for them to do. Also with the web quest you could do anything to it to make it exciting for anyone to look and do as well.
3. What were the challenges you faced?
- The one challenged I faced was putting up links to sites so that participants could go on and do it themselves that matched my content area or topic. I couldn't find any links that would work.
4. If you had to do it all over, what would you do differently?
- I would change my topic that would be much easier and for it to have alot of resources on the net for me to work with. I would add more details so that the activity would be more fun and interesting for the students to participate in.
5. How do you think students will like using a web quest? why?
- I think students will like using the web quest because they are able to do activities on their own using the computer. The web quest will give them the opportunity to explore with the topic that is provided and have them expand their learning with the different site links you could add on. Students will really enjoy this type of learning because it is computer based rather than lecture or written assignments.
